COWBOY
12 Years old
15 Hand Gelding
Family horse deluxe!
The steady eddy type.
GRADE. I know his parentage and at one point had paperwork for him. I raised him. He has been ONE FAMILY owned his entire life.
He would not be for sale if we didn't need to purchase hay.
He is the type you DONT sell. He has been used to move cattle. Ranched on some. Doctored cattle some. He has been heeled on some. Live and the heel-o-matic. Not going to call him finished just because by my standards he isn't a finished horse in heeling. He neck reins, side passes. He has been hunting all over the mountains of wyoming. Trails. Trails and more trails. He has been over night camping. Trail/overnight camping with 100+ riders. He has been the main mount for several kids and an older gentleman that has passed away due to cancer. He is BROKE BROKE. He will neck rein or he will plow rein if that is all the kiddo can do.He has had 3+ riders on him. He rides bareback. Ive let the little little kids ride him or the ones with no confidence and sat behind them. He's rode actual double for periods of time. (only with kids in the saddle and me in the back)
I use to jump on him when he was younger and read books of him bareback in the pasture with nothing on him.
He has only ever had shoes on him when we go to Custer and/or the mountains because of the amount of rocks.
He is HONEST. If he is having an off day. Which if you've owned horses and rode enough you know they have them too. He is very vocal physically loud about it , he will "high" strung for HIM. Head high snorty. He isn't going to hurt you or anyone else but you KNOW he is having an off day. I can count on ONE hand how many times he has done this. This is NOT his normal, just if he is having an off day. I am just being 100% honest. He can be a bit lazy. Not naughty lazy that refuse to do something. He sometimes requries you to kick him up twice in the next gear. It has never bothered me because the kids/beginners don't aways mean to ask him into a lope.
We hav left him for months off and just got him and rode off. We took him to the barn after almost 2 months of not riding. Saddled him up and rode off.
