She is KID SAFE!
She loves them. She will take the ultimate care of them. From the littles to older beginners are her thing. She will ride alone or in a group. The kids have stood on buckets to saddle her. Climbed on her. Climbed off her. JUMPED off her to retrieve hat/other items dropped. She either stops or follows her kiddo. She has been across wood bridges *The real kind. Rode double. Bareback. She has been rode with multiple dogs. We have fourwheelers, razors, skidsteers, tractors, extra. If your wanting a lot of go, she is not it. If your wanting to lead the charge, the trail ride, or be the one to cut off that run away cow..... well she is not the horse for you.
If you wanting a kids horse, she is it. She will follow right along side or behind you. You don't even need to pony her! If you wanting something your kids can trail ride with you, she is it. If you are wanting a horse that you can crack a beer on and trail ride all day long without a care in the world. Well she maybe your best friend. She is the take care of mosey type. She will lope if her rider is able to do so. She will ride away from the group if her rider is able to ask her to do so. If she doesn't think you can she wont. She is the baby sitter!
Her flaws. Oh yes they all have them. She is a witch to catch unless you stand 5 foot nothing. Send the kiddos to catch her it works better. She doesn't care to be cut in half with the cinch, or quickly cinched again kids saddle her quiet often and she doesn't puff up.
Kids can hang off the side of her. The one kiddo jumped off, she stops or she followed. So you know if a kiddo fell she would STOP! She either doesn't move or follows them. She's been ridden moving cows. Been hauled to play days. Travels well. Leads/loads/ties.
For the little kiddos I do think she needs a confident beginner if they want her to do specific things. As in barrels or trot or lope alone. If you just want our kiddo follow along. She will follow IF they want her too. She goes their speed. She has been rode by 8,9, 10, and 12 years old. Along with VERY new beginners to horses, adult wise. She allows things that most horses wont allow.
Absolutely no buck, bite, kick, or rear.
She has been out with *Blue Pawnee Hancock since June for a 2021 foal pulled September. Foal will be a Roan guarenteed! So bonus of a roan foal!!!
*She will ride away from the group for children/newbies. If you are an experienced rider you have to really work at leading a group. If you are wanting a horse to ride along with a group and NOT be in front or ever fight for the lead she is PERFECT. If your wanting to lead the trail ride you will wear yourself out. She does not want too. She will and does ride off. She's been used to move cattle. In the sandhills of NE and the mountains of Wyoming. Been to Texas and back. She has a lot of miles under her. Not spooky or high headed. The type you can let sit for half the summer and the kids go climb on without a warm up.
