Twig
6 year old roan gelding
15.1/15.2 hands
Broke to ride. Starting to neck rein and move off leg pressure. But not quite fancy just yet. He is getting better and better with every ride.
He has experience with cattle work and trail riding.
Been rode in the mountains. We have some rough country around us and he handles it well.
We have fixed fence with him- meaning he carried ALL the supplies.
Been around guns and rattlesnakes. We got those nasty critters around here.
Twig is super chill and friendly. Whistle and he is coming up to you. He is easy to catch even if the other horses are walking away.
He is not spooky or watchy.
He has No buck bite or kick. Stands for saddling, for getting on and off. Without touching the reins.
Load and unloads great. We have a tall trailer so they have to "Step" in. He trailers well and has been on long distance rides.
Stands tied with no pull back or silliness.
NOT barn or buddy sour. He rides well in a group or alone. Doesn't mind riding away from others or others riding away from him.
He is a sweetheart. Not in your bubble but does love to be loved on.
He is the type that can handle multiple riders in a day or over time. Not going to be a one person kind of horse.
Picks up all four. No shoes.
Hobble broke.
Handles rough country well.
He has speed when asked. But has no problem taking his time. He is not a deadhead but not hot at all.
He is going to make someone a HECK of a horse. He has the brains and the personality. He is one that can not disappoint in the right hands.
Still gaining weight but looking better every day. He did come from Oklahoma. I have had him since February. I had planned to finish him as a ranch/rope horse but due to working an hour and a half from home I just don't have the time I did at the beginning of the year. Selling everything that isn't a broodmare.
We ride with dogs anywhere from 3 to 7 dogs.
Around vehicles. Tractors
Four wheelers. Razors.
He isn't quite neck reining but very close.
He has not had experience with roping.
Price subject to change with additional training and riding.
